Bioluminescent Sunrise I
Our first night on the island was spent camping on the beach. I was exhausted from travel, and wasn't planning to wake up to photograph the Milky Way. Luckily, I awoke naturally at 4:30am and noticed that the waves seemed to be glowing... they were! I excitedly set up my tripod and photographed this serene scene until the sun rose. This image was created as dawn approached, and I managed to capture the stars, the bioluminescent waves, and the brightening sky together in my frames.
